Why This Matters

A Personal Mission

Rescue Partners began as Michael's personal mission: to make sure ordinary people are ready to help save a life. Certified in CPR since he was 16, Michael was working his first job as a lifeguard when he back-boarded a young girl from the swim team out of the water, found no pulse, and started CPR. She survived.

That moment set the course for a life of service, and Michael joined the Marine Corps. Years later, on an American Airlines flight home from training in California, the plane had just landed and was taxiing when a man a few rows over and across the aisle slumped in his seat. Michael could see something was not right — he got up, brought the passenger out of his seat, and performed CPR until a flight attendant arrived with the AED and the cabin crew took over.

Michael is always ready, but one person can't be everywhere. That truth came home years later when, with Michael nowhere nearby, his own mother received the CPR that saved her life — from someone else who was trained and prepared to act. It's why we believe every able-bodied person should be trained in CPR. The next rescuer is far more likely to be a bystander than a professional.

Not a day goes by that we don't feel this mission. Rescue Partners is a family-run company of Veterans, First Responders, and Nurses, each of us carrying a story of our own that makes this personal — and each of us committed to preparing you for the moment we hope never comes.
